Bicikademija – a platform for the promotion of cycling tourism is expanding to the island of Rab

first_imgThe platform for the promotion of cycling tourism, Bicikademija, continues to expand to other regions and destinations. After Slavonia and Istria, the latest cycling studio is the Island of Rab.The cycling study consists of 7 exams – Paradise Beach, Sveti Nikola, Ciganka Beach, Stolac Lookout, Zlatni Zalaz, Rab City and Dundo Forest. The Bicikademija project is an innovative and interactive approach to the promotion of a certain area as a desirable cycling tourist destination. The bicycle academy consists of a web platform and a mobile application to which the user (Bike Student) registers, who receives a virtual index after this process. The index consists of studies that represent specific areas. Each Study consists of an exam (location). The Student’s task is to register and log in to the system, tour the locations by bicycle, check and take photos and thus take the exam.In the meantime, there is no need to worry about it. ”Rab Bike Academy was financed by the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Lopar, where they will find prizes for the winners who pass this Bike Academy Study. It is estimated that there are over 60 million active cyclists in Europe, generating over 50 billion euros in consumption. Also, cyclists in the destination spend about 30 percent more than “classic” tourists, most often traveling in pairs or in groups of several people and are logically mobile and do not stay long in one place.Bicikademija is a great innovative and interactive project that, together with partners, could be a great story. The first step has been made, now it is up to others to give support, both financial and logistical, to bring the project to life on the ground in full glory as a complete tourist story. Otherwise, tourist destinations are interested in it, they have almost a product, embrace it and tell stories.Find out more about the whole project herelast_img read more

Trump leaves hospital to fly back to a White House hard hit by coronavirus

first_imgPresident Donald Trump on Monday left the  military hospital where he has been treated for COVID-19 and boarded a helicopter to return to a White House hit by a wave of infections and a campaign further shadowed by the pandemic four weeks before Election Day.Wearing what appeared to be a white surgical mask, Trump pumped his fist and gave a thumbs up as he walked down the steps of the Walter Reed Medical Center outside Washington, responding to a reporter’s question about how many people were infected at the White House by saying: “Thank you very much.”The Republican president, running for re-election against Democrat Joe Biden in the Nov. 3 U.S. election, was admitted to the hospital on Friday after being diagnosed with the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. “Feeling really good!” he said on Twitter earlier. “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”The disease has killed more than 1 million people worldwide and more than 209,000 in the United States alone — the highest death toll of any country.Trump, 74, has not had a fever in more than 72 hours and his oxygen levels are normal, his medical team told reporters in front of the hospital. The doctors declined, however, to discuss any toll the disease could have on the president’s lungs or disclose when Trump last tested negative for the coronavirus. The team added that the president had received supplemental oxygen twice in recent days.”He may not entirely be out of the woods yet,” Dr. Sean. P. Conley, the White House physician, said. “If we can get through to Monday with him remaining the same or improving, better yet, then we will all take that final, deep sigh of relief.”However, Conley said the medical team believed Trump was ready to leave the hospital, stressing he would have world-class medical care around the clock at the White House.Conley said doctors were in “unchartered territory” because Trump had received certain therapies so early in the course of the illness.Topics :last_img read more
