The fight broke out at Caesar’s Palace on Foothill Boulevard in Tujunga over “disrespect,” Soboleski said. The men then drove to Lowell, where they are accused of fighting before the suspects hopped into their Chrysler and ran over the victims, Soboleski said. Caesar’s Palace was the site of a slaying in June of Armen Tumanyan, 28. That case remains unsolved. Soboleski said his case was not connected to that murder. ———————————————————- For the latest news and observations on crime in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, check out the Daily News’ crime blog by clicking here. GLENDALE – A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and felony hit-and-run charges and three others have been charged with assault in connection with a fight last month over disrespect at a wedding party held at a Tujunga banquet hall. Hovhannes Dermengian is accused of using a 1999 white Chrysler to run down and injure three men at Lowell Avenue near the Foothill Freeway about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 2, police said. Raymond Asatryan, 28 and his father Aleksan, 54, were hospitalized in critical condition and have since been released. Loris Nerkarayan, 31, a family friend, suffered minor injuries, said Glendale Police Detective Keith Soboleski. Arman Nazaryan, 19, Simon Galustian, 25, and Garen Hakopian, 22, were charged with felony assault. Nazaryan faces additional charges of mayhem for using either a hammer or a rock to disfigure Aleksan Asatryan’s face, Soboleski said, adding police were getting conflicting stories about the type of object used in the attack. The suspects are expected to appear for their arraignment where they are expected to enter pleas on Nov. 11. All four were out of custody after posting bail. Police were led to the men by a license plate number and arrested Nazaryan on Sept. 20 on a warrant. The other three turned themselves into police shortly thereafter, Soboleski said. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
